So here is my story.
I was born and raised in West Los Angeles in the Truesdale estates. The homes were all built in 1948 and the neighborhood was idyllic. When I was 10, I visited my friend from Beverly hills and we went for a walk and landed in the Greystone Mansion also known as the Doheny Mansion. The caretaker showed us around instead of throwing us out. It had been vacant for years but was being kept up with help. It had an inside bowling ally as well as a theatre room and Olympic size swimming pool. This started my love of mansions. At 17, I took a trip to Europe and again visited mansions and large estates everywhere. The architecture fascinated me and I was hooked.
After High school I attended the Art Center College of design that was in Los Angeles at the time, to become an artist. My major was advertising illustration, which has helped me create all of my marketing materials for selling Real Estate. After realizing my heart just wanted to paint, I decided to sell houses to make a living. I married and had 2 children in the 70's and started my career in real estate in 1980 in Ventura County. I also helped remodel beach front homes for my clients. I have building experience and understand the materials used.
In 2004, I was hired to create a theme for the Ventura Harbor Village as well as choose the colors for all of the buildings. I have designed and painted signs as well as gallery showings of my art. I love working with properties with acreage. The potential to have horses, vineyards, orchards and special gardens really gets me excited. I sold a horse property recently and had such a great time spending time with the horses. They're such amazing animals!
I also have written 4 kids books that I wrote, published and had printed that are on the market. I call them Bunky Books. They are written to lift kids up and help them find their own power.
